Lending momentum to ‘Goal 5: Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls’ of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals ; we have some really really incredible individuals coming together to use their talent, prowess and humour to create magic.
If you, like me, thought of yourself as a strong supporter of women rights (esp the workplace) – think again… because viewing the work put together by these incredible individuals exposes how quite a few of us have been conditioned to accept some things as ‘the normal’ whilst growing up, and how we need to think way beyond just a few certain aspects we might feel strongly about.
So yes, before my family and friends call out the hypocrite in me, I will take the first step and say that this series made me realize that equal opportunity extends way beyond the workplace (Super huge shoutout to Mom & Sis for feeding and keeping the family alive all these years) – For starters, I intend to venture beyond the notion of surviving on milk (cooled & quick served with Thandais or Hershey’s – hmmmmm – ok, we are digressing from the topic), tea, eggs, kebabs and sandwiches, & learn to be more self-sufficient when it comes to various things kitchen; and especially be more aware of the subconscious biases that creep in as you interact and influence the future environment before you. And yes, this will take time and conscious effort on my side as an individual, but that’s how you start with anything I guess.
Without adding more strength to the word count of this post, I am sharing all videos below. If you are still working on your knowledge of Hindi, or viewing this post from another country (my web stats show I have folks from 100+ countries visiting my site, so hey there!); you can turn on the Subtitles by clicking on CC option. Ok, to the videos, NOW.

As the 5th Goal states : Providing women and girls with equal access to education, health care, decent work, and representation in political and economic decision-making processes will fuel sustainable economies and benefit societies and humanity at large.
According to a new report from Grant Thornton, excluding women from company boards costs companies $655 billion in the US, the UK, and India, which amounts to a total of 6.7% of lost GDP across all three countries.
So hey, if you care about making things happen, going beyond cribbing how things aren’t, and leaving the world just a bit better than how you found it – Gender. Equality. Is. Not. Just. Another. Option. In. The. Larger. Scheme. Of. Things.
